I hate how they decided to “update” the Mountain Dew brand recently. I mean, it’s obvious they’re marketing to the 13-25 market, and have been for a while, with the “do the dew” commercials in the 90’s, the development of Amp energy drink, and the sponsorship of the an extreme sports tour. The new logo, however, has taken it too far. I know “txt”ing is the cool thing to do these days, but was shortening “Mountain” to “Mtn” really necessary? Are kids really going to think Mountain Dew is the “cool drink” just because the label lacks vowels?
On a related note, I am currently surrounded by Mountain Dew bottles. 17 at last count. I think they’re multiplying behind my back.
